Fiona’s Work
About Me
I studied Fine Art at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee, Scotland under Alberto Morocco. The 4-year course had a huge emphasis on observational drawing and encouraged a bold use of colour; this has stayed with me throughout my career. I’ve had the pleasure to paint many portraits which have been diverse in subject matter, from Cardinal Basil Hume to The President of the Pigeon Fanciers Club! I work from a studio which is situated in the beautiful countryside of North Yorkshire, where I live on a farm with my family.
My work has been included in many private collections throughout the world, from a large oil of a highland bull, commissioned by a congressman in Washington DC, to a self-portrait, now in Australia, which was exhibited at The Royal Society of Portrait Painters. I’ve also been fortunate to have exhibited at many prestigious exhibitions which include:
Royal Academy, London
The BP Awards, National Portrait Gallery, London
The Royal Society of Portrait Painters, London
Royal Institute of Oil Painters, London
Royal Watercolour Society, London
Medici Gallery, Bond Street, London
One Woman Show, London
